Soap Nuts for Laundry with cotton bag
The most gentle, natural, multipurpose cleaning agent available. Soap nuts can be used anywhere you would use soap - for laundry, dishes, to clean pets, or on your skin or hair. Our customers love it for laundry and 1 sachet can be reused up to six loads, or until their mild fruity smell is gone and they turn white, at which point the expended fruits can be composted.
Soap Nuts are dried berries from the Sapindus tree family that are naturally packed with saponins. They are used as a standard cleaning agent and for good reason – they're simple, effective, and hypoallergenic!
We include the cotton bag to use for laundry. Simply toss a bag full (1 oz is apx 7 berries) into your laundry - it's seriously that easy. If you're cleaning something especially odorous that still requires a cool wash, you can make a 2-minute soapberry 'tea' to help release the saponins, then soak or just toss that into your load. For longest shelf life, store soapberries in a dry area.
